Signia Silk Nx – A New Class of Hearing Aid

Called an ‘instant fitting’ device, they don’t require an impression or mould of your ear to be taken. Instead, there are different sized silicon click sleeves or domes that are selected to be acoustically optimised for your hearing levels and ear canal size. This facilitates ‘walk in’ trials and easy modifications.

They are an excellent invisible hearing aid solution on Signia’s latest and most advanced Nx chip platform.  Their amplification levels can be accurately shaped to your hearing levels across the frequency range.

They coordinate their modes of operation and provide a degree of micro- phone adaptive directionality through their high definition wireless transmission (Ultra HD e2e).

Rather than sharing data through blue-tooth these devices use near field magnetic induction (NFMI) for rapid data exchange. This enables effective binaural processing of sound and a microphone adaptive directionality.

For an in the canal hearing aid they are relatively open fitting as they use the click sleeves or domes. With a reduced mass in the canal the occlusion effect (OE) is reduced, that full or blocked sensation in the ear canals that also boosts up your own voice.

Their advanced feedback cancelling system minimises the likelihood of any feedback.  Especially important in tiny in the canal devices where the microphone resides so close to the receiver or speaker.

You can easily adjust the Signia Silk hearing aids using the Signia Touch control App that can be installed for free on either android or Apple IOS mobile phones. The system uses ultra high frequency sound to enable volume, program changes and even give users some control of the ratio of treble to base.

Signia Silk comes Tele-Care ready so you can have fine tuning adjustments conveniently made in the comfort of your home or listening environment.

Positioned a little deeper in the canal they make better use of the ears natural anatomy to direct sound into the canals. This better preserve the natural between ear timing and intensity cues of sound provided by the natural anatomy and shape of the ear (Pinna).

You can also hold a phone to your ear as you naturally would without having to alter its position. Headphones can also be comfortably worn whilst wearing these in the canal hearing aids.

Importantly the new Signia Silk Nx provides a natural hearing experience and exceptional sound quality.
